the faint return in 2009 with remixes by some of their favorite artists. das glow re-imagines �mirror error� as only he can. members of the faint have been playing das glow in their dj sets since they first heard the music on institubes. djedjotronic has been one of the faint�s favorite boys noize artists, and the remix of �machine in the ghost� on this release shows djedjotronic in rare form, focusing on the spirituality of the lyrics. tensnake�s inclusion on this package came at the suggestion of boysnoize rec. label head alex ridha. the faint�s manager, joel mark, comments: � when i heard these tensnake mixes, i left them on repeat for hours. battle hymn for children has always been one of our favorite songs on fasciinatiion, but tensnake was able to take it to brand new areas that we never would have imagined. i could listen to a 30 minute version of this remix. � nice

this is an absolute balearic beauty. mendes & alþada, from portugal, release their first 12inch and it doesnt dissapoint. a head nodding 80bpm chugger with a beautiful guitar loop sat on a gritty analog line makes you want to put your hands up and wave them from side to side. label favourites, the idjut boys get pete z in and add percussion and more girth to make it another classic remix. absolutely essential.

clone v2.0! clone back in its new form.. a series of specialized series dedicated to different functionalities, emotions and styles of electronic music. the clone loft series will be releasing more traditional house and ny influenced disco for the smaller and more intimate club settings. first of reggie dokes with probably his best release so far! a-side is a dirty but massive house track that goes down very well in any house set! at first notice this might be the main track... which most likely it is for more peak-time use... but actually our favorite is the fierce i wear the mask track on the flipside. this track has a nice jumpy beat, very light... but such a balanced rhythm that it will grab one for sure. on top it has layers of strings and a bouncy bassline and very staccato keys... and everything is so well balanced, so sensitive that it really gives us goosebumps all over! it reminds even to some derrick may tracks where he managed to make his songs emotional and fragile with the same kind of timbre and hidden energy (but then less 909 orientated and such...) it has that force, that gentle force of magic that frees that inner energy, that inner power that makes you wanna dance. what a stunning track and what a strong release by mr dokes. essential!

jack for daze is one of the new clone series of releases inspired by the early house releases from chicago. one of the main inspirations of the clone crew... first release is done by neville watson, known for his collaboration with kink. two sweet tracks that are highly influenced by joe lewis and larry heard. two tracks that sound as if they came out of a time machine. clone founder serge produced a modern jack track together with gerd as bonus track. back into the studio since a long time and just playing around they came up with a nice hybrid mix somewhere inbetween an old gherkin gherks / larry heard release and a modern club track. crazy low bass kick and a classic jacking percussion drive combined with todays production skills. a proper club tool that compliments this first jack for daze release... very much recommended!
